I'm not building a new house — is this still useful?

Yes. About half our readers are renovating or retrofitting. The checklist flags which prewires are still possible in an existing home (and which require ripping drywall).

Do I have to be technical to use it?

No. It's written for homeowners. The terminology is explained, and the goal is that you can hand it to your electrician on day one.

What if I want help going beyond the bundle?
